How to Get More and Better Referrals
Hey guys, I’m super excited about the Motivating Third Party Referrals webinar that’s coming up. (UPDATE: you can now access the recording here) So, I’d just like to share one simple strategy that could get you thinking about how effectively are you motivating those third parties to refer you.
Many of you should be or absolutely must be going to networking events. But so many of us salespeople go to these things on our own, we find them really hard or a little bit lonely.
What if all you did from here on in, was every time you had a networking event or an event that you thought could be good… you rang up that third party, that accountant or that real-estate agent or that lawyer and said “Hey, I’m going to this networking event, why don’t you come with me?
Now, every one of those phone calls is a value-add to that third party. If they do come along, you’re going to buddy up on something and work together and have more fun. The more time you spend together, the more top of mind you are and the more they’re thinking about you and the bottom line is that this one strategy can have a radical impact on how motivated that third party is to refer you and how much they understand what you do because, at the networking event, they’re going to listen to you talking to other people about what it is that you do.
So that’s just a simple example of how specific and “how to” the strategies are in this program. I promise you’re going to get massive value out of the 9P Model. It’s going to make a massive difference to the way you engage with third parties and importantly the way you motivate and inspire them to want to talk about you, want to refer you and want to partner with you in a genuine way.
